India Hails New Destiny

British Rule in India ended in a gread midnight celebration of roaring guns, temple bells, and fireworks reverberating through the teeming cities and villages of the new-born Dominions of India and Pakistan.

The Cabinet of the New Dominion of India was announced last night.

Pandit Nehru is Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister for Scientific Research other Ministers include Sardar Patel - State Home Information and Broadcasting; Dr. Prasad Food and Agriculture; Sardar Baldev Singh Defence; Shanmukhan Chetty; Finance; Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Industries and Supplies; and C.
